Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Curt S. Culver is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of MGIC Investment Corporation and its principal subsidiary, Mortgage Guaranty Insurance Corporation (MGIC). Mr. Culver's career spans more than 25 years in the PrivateMI business. He joined MGIC in 1982. In 1996, he became President and Chief Operating Officer of MGIC, and on January 1, 2000, he became Chief Executive Officer at MGIC Investment. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Madison, earning both a BA and MS with honors in Real Estate Finance and Urban Land Economics.
- Patrick Sinks
President and Chief Operating Officer
Patrick Sinks has served as MGIC Investment Corporation’s President and Chief Operating Officer since January 2006. He began his career with the company at its primary subsidiary Mortgage Guaranty Insurance Corp. (MGIC) in 1978. Previously, Sinks served as Executive Vice President – Field Operations. Sinks has also served as Senior Vice President – Controller and Chief Accounting Officer, and before that held a variety of position with in the Accounting and Finance Departments. Sinks earned his MBA from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Mary College.
- J. Michael Lauer
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
J. Michael Lauer joined the Company in 1989 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of MGIC Investment and is responsible for the finance, corporate reinsurance, administration, and investor relations functions. Before joining MGIC, Mr. Lauer was with Allis-Chalmers Corporation for 17 years in various financial positions, last serving as vice president and treasurer. Mr. Lauer is a member of the Financial Executives Institute and holds a BS degree in accounting from Marquette University.
- Lawrence J. Pierzchalski
Executive Vice President - Risk Management
Lawrence J. Pierzchalski joined MGIC in 1982 and is currently Executive Vice President - Risk Management. His primary responsibilities are pricing, structured transactions, and managing the quality of insurance writings. Other responsibilities include development of computer-assisted underwriting systems and models to score mortgage loans relating to default performance. Mr. Pierzchalski holds a BS degree from the United States Naval Academy and an MBA from Marquette University.
- Jeffrey H. Lane
Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary
Jeffrey H. Lane joined MGIC Investment in 1996, leaving private practice law. Prior to joining MGIC Investment, Mr. Lane spent 19 years as a partner, concentrating on corporate and securities law, at Foley & Lardner, a law firm headquartered in Milwaukee. He joined Foley & Lardner in 1975 after earning his J.D. from Boston University, graduating Cum Laude. He earned his bachelor's degree in 1970 from Columbia University.
