And the winner is...

Richard Hessee of American Way Mortgage of Springfield, MO shared how his company protects customer and company data. He won a short-sleeved, black wind shirt, along with some other eMagic gifts.

Here is his security tip:

"We have found that the best security is limited access. Each processor has a group of files that they are sole handler on. They do everything in the file and keep the hard copy in a locked filing cabinet. Managers are the only other people with access..."

"...The processor packs and ships the file and upon approval, handles the closing…Loan officers never retain anything in a contact file other than name, address, phone number, type of loan, loan amount and fees. Closed files and denied files are kept in a secure room with a different alarm system than the rest of the building, and access is restricted."

Getting personal benefits from your personal login ID and password

joePersonalizing your stuff has certain benefits. It identifies that it's yours and no one else should use it. Put your name on your toothbrush, coffee cup or polo shirt, and you're safe! The same benefit holds true for having your own personal login ID and password.

With your single login ID and password...

  • you get access to many of the lenders with whom you’ve already established a business relationship. Click here to see which one of your lenders already has an eMagic-hosted site that you can deliver your loans to online.
  • you enjoy exclusive access to important documents, like the Good Faith Estimate (GFE) and Truth-in-Lending (TIL). The data from the Loan App will conveniently populate the corresponding fields in the GFE and TIL. For TrioSM users, the GFE and TIL are uploaded to the Trio folder with just one click.
  • you avoid getting locked out and then having to contact our technical assistance center for help.
  • you also get convenient access to some cool features, such as calculators, the Trio Activity Report and the Loan Manager Report for viewing your lender data.

Did you know? Online origination is HOT!

Nearly 80% of home searches begin with the internet. And clearly, lenders are now originating more loans online. With that in mind, did you know that Myers!eMagic has teamed up with Myers Internet, a leading mortgage website provider? One Myers customer noted, "This year, out of my own 100 plus transactions, all but 8 were received through my Myers website!"

You, too, can grow your online mortgage business and increase the number of leads with a Myers website. Plus, the integration between eMagic and Myers allows originators to submit loans to the lenders of their choice. Click here to see which of your lenders are available on the eMagic platform.

Order a Myers website today and use promo code NV1207.

Write on with Trio!

Take note of the new feature added to Trio: the ability to create and store notes about the loan file. These notes are easier to create than writing the old-fashioned way (with pen & paper. And better than sticking a post-it reminder note to your computer monitor). Use this feature to let others know what is going on with the loan file, what's missing, what's coming, and other pertinent information that a back-up processor or loan officer would need to know. The notes are easily deleted once the note becomes obsolete. Click here for more information regarding this new feature.

Tiles & Smiles
Take a shot at unscrambling the tiles to reveal the hidden message. For example, EMA belongs in the first tile. What comes next? Hmmmm...
Once you solve the puzzle, fax your answer to 414-347-6464 by Friday, September 21st. One winner will be chosen to receive an eMagic prize!
