MGIC Insight - Fall 2007

Since we last wrote about the opportunities of reaching out to subprime borrowers facing resets, this segment has indeed become a huge center of debate. The effect of stabilizing home prices has revealed many borrowing decisions made with sanguine expectations for a continued run up in prices. Borrowers weren't the only ones to push too far - liquidity issues have forced a number of lenders out of business since the beginning of the year. Certainly, there will be more caution in the future, yet, there is a need to find appropriate resolutions for those who are in a jam today. Our latest feature compiles the various efforts in order to describe a "road map" of potential routes to become a trusted advisor.
