Integration process overview
In today’s competitive environment, efficiency is key. Establishing an interface with MGIC may increase the speed and accuracy of your processes and enhance productivity. MGIC offers a variety of integration options including rate estimates/quotes, delegated and non-delegated MI ordering, post-close document delivery and MI activation. Here’s an overview of what it takes to integrate.
Building an interface with MGIC
1. Introductions
We’ll establish contact to determine the nature of the integration and cover the following:
- Contact information and roles and responsibilities
- Product integration intentions (e.g., user base, functionality, workflow)
- Contract requirements
- Vendor due diligence requirements
- Format for data (JSON, XML, SFTP file)
- Project schedule/timeline
Upon approval of the integration initiative, we’ll provide you with the corresponding data specifications and sample files. Note: Data specifications for MISMO standard integrations are also available on mismo.org.
2. Kick-off
Once you have reviewed the details, we’ll schedule a kick-off call to confirm:
- Credentials and other set-up needs
- Appropriate data integrity
- Error message details
- Certification and maintenance requirements
- Implementation requirements
After the kick-off call, we’ll provide you with a certification test matrix with appropriate loan scenarios. We can schedule additional follow-up calls as needed to answer questions and to ensure efficient development and testing periods.
3. Testing and certification
Once your development efforts are ready for testing, we’ll be available to:
- Collect and analyze your certification test cases until certification is obtained
- Review your submissions for accuracy and help you resolve mapping issues
4. Launch
When testing is complete, we’ll be ready to launch! We’ll help launch, promote, and support the integration.
